AI Forward Deployed
Engineer Program
Most AI never leaves the demo. This program trains engineers for the job that actually gets it shipped — sitting with the customer, understanding their messy real-world systems, and building the AI that works inside them.
Batch dates, curriculum and fees are being finalised. Leave your details and we’ll reach out first when enrolment opens.
What is a Forward Deployed Engineer?
An FDE is the engineer a company sends to the customer. Part software engineer, part solutions architect, part consultant — they work inside the customer’s environment, learn the domain, and turn a general AI platform into something that solves that customer’s specific problem. It is one of the fastest-growing roles in AI product companies, and it rewards engineers who can code, communicate and think about the business at the same time.
What the program will cover
-
01
Applied AI engineering
LLM application design, prompting, RAG, tool use and agents — built as production code, not notebooks.
-
02
Customer-side discovery
Scoping a real problem, mapping existing systems and data, and shaping a solution the customer will actually adopt.
-
03
Integration & data plumbing
APIs, databases, message queues and legacy systems — the unglamorous work that decides whether AI ships.
-
04
Deploy, evaluate, operate
Cloud deployment, evaluation harnesses, guardrails, cost control and monitoring once real users arrive.
-
05
Consulting craft
Running a discovery call, demoing under pressure, writing a proposal, and handling a stakeholder who says no.
-
06
Deployment capstone
An end-to-end build against a real brief, delivered and defended the way an FDE delivers to a client.
Who it’s for
- Software engineers moving into AI product work
- Data and ML engineers who want to own delivery, not just models
- Consultants and solution architects adding hands-on AI depth
- Final-year and recent CS graduates with solid programming fundamentals
